Responsibilities:

Build territory & account sales strategies, account management & business development plans to grow existing and expand into new client accounts within the Telecoms Lawful Interception markets in Europe and Asia. Identifies accounts with the greatest growth potential for ILT products & solutions. Particular emphasis on New account development and establishing new contract footprint. Responsible for lead generation and qualification, pursuit win strategies, client and competitive assessments, and win plans. Including active participation in opportunity capture and proposal generation. Develop and maintain a trusted advisor relationship with enterprise-level client relationships, connecting with key client executives & stakeholders and foster those relationships for greatest mutual benefit. Identify and work with strategic channel partners to address new market spaces. Works with technical resources to provide innovative solutions to address customer issues both current and upcoming due to technology changes. Responsible for maintaining a pipeline for forecasting and tracking key account business metrics. Including Order and Revenue forecasting.

Collaborates with Strategic Communications department to represent and provide customer centric input into sales tools, conference messaging and branding initiatives

Required Qualifications:

Business Development Manager shall possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or relevant experience.
  • 10+ years in Strategic Account and Business Development management, business development in the government and/or commercial telecommunications markets.
  • Proven record of successfully growing business with expanded customers and markets domestically and/or internationally.
  • Demonstratable networking capabilities & relationships among various communities, e.g. Lawful interception, Security and Cyber markets for identifying and developing potential business opportunities.
  • Demonstratable knowledge of the Mobile Network Monitoring, Mobile Network Security and Lawful Intercept competitive market landscape.
  • Ability to integrate regulatory, customer, political and market information into effective Accounts strategies and plans.
  • Should have very strong interpersonal skills and abilities and brings team approach to work effectively across organizational lines in line with the One Illuminate strategy.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and respond to the most complex RFI and RFP documents.

Mobile Network System Engineer (VA)

We are seeking a talented and energetic Mobile Network System Engineer who will interface with customers on a regular basis and provide technical leadership for key company projects. Key areas of support include conducting site surveys; system planning, installation and commissioning; system support and troubleshooting; on-site system consulting, telephone support, testing, documentation and in some cases providing technical support for pre-sales efforts for Illuminate GSM, UMTS and LTE network monitoring systems. The successful candidate is expected to work well on his/her own and within the broader Illuminate organization.

The successful candidate will work at the customer’s site in Northern VA, remotely (at home office) and when required go to the Herndon, VA office.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in customer-facing meetings to review operational status of deployed systems
  • Provide system installation support to include: package breakout and installation of equipment; create installation drawings/instructions, manage cables (to include fiber, coaxial and twisted pair); install initial OS and application software; generate as-built documents; configure initial system and checking equipment for proper operation; and, provide troubleshooting support
  • Provide ongoing support of installed base through remote and on-site troubleshooting; install hardware and software updates
  • Provide solution design recommendations; plan and coordinate large- and small-scale network projects within a multi-vendor infrastructure environment consisting of voice and data communication networks
  • Provide multi-level on-site customer training for conducting site surveys, planning and installing system functionality and system operation (Locations for equipment installation are international and require temporary deployments anywhere from two to six weeks in duration)
  • Provide local and/or remote support for network planning, lab testing, lab support, troubleshooting and system administration support for systems deployed in the field or in customer lab facilities
  • Support sales personnel in pre-sales activities for new business opportunities
  • Write how-to’s and knowledge-based articles
  • Assist with subcontractor development efforts
  • Occasionally provide 24/7 support

Minimum Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Active or current TS/SCI (U.S. citizenship required)
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics or related field
  • At least four (4) years of relevant work experience in an engineering role
  • At least two (2) years of specialized, relevant technical work experience in the areas of telecommunications, systems engineering, systems development, hardware and software development and/or installation system engineering support.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and solving problems in complex communications systems
  • Ability to identify and analyze functional and operational requirements, and develop solutions to satisfy emerging needs
  • Strong understanding and/or experience in GSM, UMTS, and LTE mobile core network architectures, and related hardware, software and protocols
  • Experience with hands-on rack-and-stack installation, commissioning and maintenance of Telco-grade servers and systems; and, creating install guides and as-built documentation
  • Experience working directly with development team to resolve software and hardware problems; and, applying software and hardware patches
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, NAT, routing and switching

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working Experience with Telco infrastructure: NSS (i.e., MSC, HLR, AUC, VLR, EIR), BSS (BTS, BSC, Common Air Interfaces), OSS (i.e., Inventory Systems, Customer Care/Billing Systems and gateways to transport information), SMSC, SGSN, GGSN and other ancillary components
  • Knowledge of the theory and principles of telecommunications (i.e., SS7, telco subsystems design/architecture/implementation/configuration)

We are seeking a talented individual who can provide technical proposal support for Illuminate’s US Proposal Group for its existing customer base as well as new/emerging customer expansion efforts. The Telecom Solutions Engineer must have demonstrated ability to work with sales and R&D organizations for developing professional proposals, white papers, and presentations for Illuminate products and solutions to meet customer requirements. The ideal candidate must be able to produce multiple professional proposal solution types including equipment solutions, development solutions, and services solutions or combinations thereof.

An effective candidate will be able to work primarily out of the San Jose, CA office with periodic work in our Northern VA office (coming in spring of 2020) as required, at the Columbia MD office as required, and remotely (at home office).  Travel is anticipated to be occasional.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Illuminate sales and business development teams to properly size and creatively apply Illuminate hardware and software elements into a proposal to solve customer network monitoring requirements including proposing installation and post installation support services
  • Work with Illuminate project/program managers to appropriately define, scope and accurately load labor service plans for new or existing contract sites of variable size and duration for customer proposal
  • Coordinate and work with Illuminate R&D teams and US technical teams to create engineering development proposals for system tailoring and/or enhancements as well as hybrid system designs that clearly define the solution requirements, responsibilities and dependencies, deliverables, development schedule, pricing, invoicing schedule, IP considerations and acceptance terms

Minimum Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Possess a working knowledge/understanding of mobile networking infrastructure (network not RF) including networking elements, technology type, system element interconnects, traffic types carried and load estimations for 2G, 2.5G, 3G and 4G networks
  • Working knowledge/ understanding of various packet capture, processing and monitoring technologies
  • Have 3 to 5 years of professional proposal and technical writing experience with documented examples of previous work demonstrating mastery of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint coupled with solid understanding of financial modeling

We are seeking a talented and energetic Product Support Engineer to support Illuminate’s GSM, UMTS and LTE network monitoring solution. The successful candidate will work closely with the software development team to address technical issues related to software installations, functions and upgrades; and, support field engineers and customers in implementing customized solutions for their networks. The successful candidate is expected to work well on his/her own and within the broader Illuminate organization.

An effective candidate will be able to work out of the Northern VA office (coming in spring of 2020) as required, at the Columbia MD office as required, and remotely (at home office).

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the Technical Support and R&D Teams in Edinburgh and Los Angeles to:

  • Provide support to the field engineers based in Maryland, Illuminate labs (CA), customer labs or customer sites
  • Design, implement and maintain support tools used to monitor daily health and status of systems
  • Create/maintain data gathering and troubleshooting tools for use by field engineers and internal developers as required
  • Analyze logs, stack traces, debug libraries, software/hardware telemetry and read/verify/improve documentation
  • Support and troubleshoot production systems both remotely and on-site
  • Create workaround procedures to resolve discovered problems
  • Participate in customer-facing meetings to review operational status of deployed systems
  • Participate in requirements definition of new products
